About Me
My name is Alexander McCown, I'm a lifelong tinkerer who loves exploring ways to use inexpensive things to make life easier. I'm curious about how the world works, and always looking for something new to learn and apply it quickly to whatever's in front of me at the moment. I enjoy 3D printing, working with machine vision, building and flying radio controlled airplanes, and building robotic automation systems to make life easier.
I'm a licensed Ham, and some of my skills are Robotics, Computer Vision, Java, C/C++, hardware-accelerated algorithm design, VHDL and Verilog Hardware Description Languages, circuit analysis, and control systems.
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University, as well as a Master's of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with an emphasis on Robotic Vision.
